I'm laughing because we use that word every day in the digital scrapbooking world, and it has come to mean everything from clip art to embellishments, and I laugh because the word literally means unused, un-needed, unwanted, scrap, metal to be sure. We then began using the word in what we call memory keeping, and altered art such as books and cigar boxes.
While our definition of the word has become more refined as far as it is now used for even professional graphics, it still comes down to the original meaning.
Anyway, you get the idea. So what the heck am I writing about scrap for.
Look at the bottom and you will find an image of my website logo a bit enhanced for Christmas. If you look closely you will see a bit of sparkle in the photo and some Christmas bling.
Kinda cool huh... Just a little sparkle, not too obvious, but you can make that sparkle any strength or texture you like. I used the image below with some screening over the logo image with PSE6, and then I overlayed the same logo image over that, and lowered the transparacy.... Fun! So below is the SCRAP I used to create it. I have been creating bling for a new kit, lots of ornaments, and garland etc... and this one was a little test transparancy. As you can see, it still has use, so maybe scrap is a little harsh lmao!!
In any case, here is a little bling for you to play with, and keep on the lookout for more fun and freebies before the holidays are here and over.
This is a transparant png, hopefully it will still be a png when you download it lol... sometimes
s^it happens ;)
